Ride Re-cap from Rich's ?th Birthday Ride Saturday May 18th
We're NOT saying what "number" Rich celebrated on Tuesday May 21st, but suffice it to say that our 75 mile ride on Saturday May 18th surpassed it by a margin of at least 5 miles!
We started out from Holland where we both live for a 35 - 50 mile ride, and because of a wrong turn (Bill G's "bad"), we unintentionally wound up on River Road Rt. 32 below Washington's Crossing. We usually avoid this road during commute...

Larry, Renita, Nancy and I did the Burlington Rotary Ride on Saturday 5/19. The weather was awesome - one of the best event days I can remember with seasonably cool temps in the mid 50's when we started @ 7:45 am rising to the mid 70's by our 1:15 pm finish; no humidity or wind - just beautiful sunshine and blue skies. As promised, this ride is one of the most unique and beautiful rides in New Jersey - lightly traveled back roads in Burlington and Monmouth Counties-...

Larry and I had a great time at an SCU's Quad County Metric on Saturday 5/12. We did the "basic" 45.3 mile ride and climbed 3031', averaged 12.9 mph (the fast, long down hills compensated for the slow, long up hills!!). We made a good decision to pass on doing the metric distance and the 9.6 ICU (Intensive Climbing Unit) - clearly would have put is in the ICU (as in hospital) ! We came through the many "moderate" 8-12% grade hills in decent shape, but the steeper ones (12%...

Last Sunday was a beautiful day and since I worked around the house all day on Saturday I felt I deserved a nice 30+ mile ride. Since I live in Upper Bucks not too far Ottsville (Everyone knows where Ottsville is!) You know this ride is going to be hilly.

I got the bike out of the garage, pumped up the front tire, started pumping up the back and ZZZZZZZZ the front tire popped. What a way to start and this was the second flat on the front in a week and a half. I...
