Edward Higgins

Founding Member of Bikers and Spinners

Edward Higgins Jr. of Bensalem

Born in Philadelphia, he was a graduate of the University of Scranton and attained a master's degree from the University of Michigan. Ed served his country in the Army during the Vietnam era. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Department of Defense as a logistics agent.

Ed was an avid jogger and cyclist. He participated in numerous cycling events for charitable organizations. His life ended participating in one of those events. He attended daily aerobics workouts throughout his retirement years.

Ed was referred to, by his cycling friends, as “Steady Eddie” for his consistent cycling cadence regardless of the length of the ride or terrain. If you were going to keep up with Ed on a long ride, you had better be in shape!  Those of us who got to know Ed feel blessed.

Cliff Waldman

Our dear biking buddy Cliff passed away on Friday 12/21/12 as a result of complications from open-heart surgery. Expressions of condolence and remembrances of Cliff can be sent to his wife Beth and family at 3 Devon Drive, New Hope, PA 18938-9210. Cliff loved his life, the people he encountered and his diverse experiences.  He had a special fondness for those with whom he rode on his frequent rides with our Bikers and Spinners group. He introduced most of us the C'est La Vie French Bakery in New Hope - which quickly became one of our favorite refreshment stops!

May Cliff’s memory be a Blessing for those who were privileged to know and ride with him.
